PUBLIC CONSULTATION
VISION 2030: The ICT Sector Plan
The Government of Jamaica, through the Planning Institute of Jamaica has
embarked on a strategic planning exercise geared at transforming Jamaica into a developed country by 2030.
Vision 2030 Jamaica is an integrated, results-oriented plan which covers all areas
of the Jamaican economy and society.
The public is being invited to participate in the process by submitting comments on the First Draft of the Vision 2030 ICT Sector Plan.

NOTICE TO ALL SPECTRUM USERS
In December 2004, the Spectrum Management Authority embarked on the process to declare the 902-928MHz, 2.4GHz and 5.8GHz frequency bands Licence-Exempt. In our effort to ensure that users of these frequency bands are able to derive the maximum benefit from the spectrum, it is of paramount importance that all current users of these bands are registered with the Authority.
Users of the 902-928MHz, 2.4GHz and 5.8GHz bands are therefore requested to submit the following information to the Spectrum Management Authority:

The Spectrum Management Authority hereby invites applications for spectrum licences in the 3.5GHz band for the provision of wireless broadband services in Jamaica.
SCOPE
A total of 2 x 60 MHz of spectrum in the 3.5GHz band is available for the deployment of broadband services. Applications will be treated on a “First-Come, First-Served” basis. INFORMATION DOCUMENT
