SPECTRUM USERS

This is a representation of all persons and entities which utilise the radio frequency spectrum as authorised by the Spectrum Management Authority by way of a spectrum licence or authorisation.  Users fall in a number of categories:

• Terrestrial (land-based) radio systems users such as mobile/cellular providers and communication service by way of 2-way radios;
• Satellite systems users such as users of very small aperture terminals (VSAT) and users of large earth stations;
• Maritime radio systems users to facilitate communication by ships, yachts, boats;
• Aeronautical radio systems users to facilitate communication by aeroplanes and air traffic controllers.
